Mama Blue Sunday, September 18 at 6:30pm Bring a chair, the beverage of your choice, and an appetizer to share Prayers for those who died, those who were wounded, and for all their families and friends. Prayers for the LGBT community. In the midst of our anguish and pain, may we hold the victims of this killing, those they loved, and those who loved them in our hearts, and be proud of them for the integrity of their lives. And may they and we be forever held together in the gentle and firm arms of God's mercy.
The Prayer Wall on the Commons at St. Cyprian's is open to all who wish to offer their thoughts, reflections, and prayers. Like the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem you may leave behind a prayer note in the cracks between the stones. The Island Duet Concert on the Commons May 15 at 6:30pm The Island Duet will premier their new musical revue during Romanza on Sunday, May 15, at the St. Cyprian’s Concert on the Commons, at 6:30 pm. THE PEOPLE’S CHOICE is a celebration of US Presidential elections, featuring Paul Umbarger’s lively arrangements for violin, guitar and vocals.
THE PEOPLE’S CHOICE combines many of the popular melodies that have stirred American spirits throughout our nation’s political history, with a playful, informative, and entertaining narrative that follows the story from Lexington and Concord to the election of 2016. Caren and Paul Umbarger formed the Island Duet when they moved to St. Augustine six years ago. The couple have established private teaching studios in their home on the Island, published Caren’s first novel: COMING TO – a Florida Book Award winner, and have written and recorded NEW WORLD ARISING; an original CD of fourteen songs commemorating St. Augustine’s 450th. Caren and Paul perform their extensive, eclectic repertoire for all occasions. The Concert on the Commons will be held outdoors at St. Cyprian’s Episcopal Church, 37 Lovett St. in Lincolnville. The concert is free and open to the public. You are invited to bring a chair, a beverage of your choice, and an appetizer to share.
